Diet results

Just back from Europe and down to 172 from 190 2 months ago when this “diet” started. I’m back on the 30km bike 4 times a week which feels great.

My bike computer seems to push me harder… when I see that I’m going slower than average I have to pump it.

The hot weather is so much easier to deal with after losing a few pounds. It’s 32C today but we haven’t turned the A/C on yet {besides to check if it works :P}.

Going to Poland? Try zumi.pl

Magda and I are planning our trip to Poland this year. While doing some searching I came accross Zumi.pl.

Zumi.pl is a Google maps type web app and offers some great high resolution aerial photos. Above is the wooden stairs that leads from the forest to the beach near Magda’s family’s place in Kolobrzeg.

The Inner Life of a cell

Wow. This is one amazing visualization. This is a CGI rendered view of a live white blood cell. It show how some of the fantastic molecules inside the cell work together through cascading reactions to make life. Amazing. Read the rest of this entry »
