Very optimistic article about a near-market ultra capacitor with an energy density of 280 Watt hours per KG.
Very big claim.
But if it does come out this year, and perform as they say, it will drive a revolution. It’s more than twice as energy dense as lithium Ion, and can be charged thousands of times without loss of capacity.
So 10 hour laptops, 1500KM range plug-in hybrids, and cell phones that standby for a month might be near.
